Garden visiting by guided tour only
please ring or email for details AT MERRYWEATHERS GARDENS & NURSERY WE GARDEN ACCORDING TO ORGANIC PRINCIPLES.WE BELIEVE THAT THE USE OF PEAT IS DAMAGING TO THE ENVIRONMENT SO IN OUR NURSERY WE USE A PEAT-FREE COMPOST MADE FROM COCO-FIBRE.
ALL OUR NURSERY PLANTS ARE MADE AND PROPAGATED BY US. WE GROW OUR PLANTS NATURALLY WITHOUT THE USE OF PESTICIDES OR ARTIFICIAL GROWTH BOOSTERS SUCH AS FERTILISERS AND ARTIFICIAL HEAT AND LIGHT, AND WE SELL THEM WHEN THEY ARE READY TO PLANT OUT. WE GROW WITH THE SEASONS AND PRODUCE ROBUST GARDEN PLANTS WHICH CAN GENERALLY FEND FOR THEMSELVES.
WE RE-USE OR RECYCLE WHEREVER POSSIBLE, INCLUDING PLANT POTS AND LABELS.
No access for coaches
We regret that, in the interests of the resident wildlife, no dogs, except guide dogs, are allowed in any part of the gardens.
Merryweather's Herbs is a no-smoking environment.

We regret that these private gardens are only partially accessible to wheelchair users in dry weather. There are no steps but the land is on a slope. All the paths are grass and become impassable to heavy wheeled vehicles after rain.
WE ARE ALWAYS LOOKING FOR VOLUNTEERS. IF YOU ARE INTERESTED IN GETTING INVOLVED IN THE PROJECT, PLEASE CONTACT US.
